The 9th ICAHIS was held June 14-17, 2018, in Budapest, Hungary.

THEME

ICAHIS 2018: Connecting—Collaborating—Creating

Crossing Boundaries in Support of Animal Health Information

The broad conference themes of Connecting, Collaborating and Creating have been intentionally chosen by the International Programme Committee to create an open and welcoming intellectual environment for conference contributions, discussions and sharing with colleagues.

Connecting themed sessions will provide opportunities to explore ideas and experiences in connecting with users, technology, disciplines, or entities, the past and present literature (historic collections and archives).

Collaborating themed sessions will provide opportunities to explore ideas and experiences about partnerships with veterinary and non-veterinary librarian colleagues, discipline faculty, organizations, institutions, exchange experiences or possibilities, or job shadowing between institutions.

Creating themed sessions will provide opportunities for sharing ideas and experiences in developing new resources, webpages, online tutorials, courses and classes outside of and within the curriculum, spaces, makerspaces, new jobs or new positions.

The 9th International Conference of Animal Health Information Specialists will be held June 14-17, 2018 at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Budapest, Hungary. The conference will bring together animal health information specialists from around the world, to connect in understanding the issues facing them, and to collaborate in creating solutions. Though not very large in numbers, this unique community is a cross-section of the veterinary and animal health information world, and also a gateway to larger institutions of higher education and animal health administration.
